FAQs
Q. How long will my Helen Marie’s Gourmet Bread stay fresh?
A. We guarantee the freshness of our bread for 7 days from the date of shipping. For maximum freshness keep the bread in the poly bag with the twist tie on tight, and store it at room temperature, away from air. You can also store it in your refrigerator.
Q. Are there any preservatives in your bread?
A. Our bread contains no preservatives. We use only the freshest ingredients: flour, margarine, sugar, milk, eggs, and yeast.
Q. When do you ship your bread to individual customers?
A. We ship our bread 1-2 days after baking. Typical delivery time is 2-3 business days, weather permitting.
Q. When do you ship your bread to wholesale customers?
A. Currently, we only offer delivery to southern California establishments and caterers who are located in the counties of Riverside, San Bernadino, Orange, and Los Angeles. All deliveries are made on Tuesdays.
Q. Do you use any oil in your baking?
A. Our bread contains no added fats or oils and absolutely no trans fats!
Q. Why do you have an online ordering window?
A. This is the most cost-effective way for us to make our bread available to individuals who want to purchase our bread, but who may not be located in southern California. We produce larger quantities in response to the demands from our wholesale account customers and our Farmer’s Market events, which is why our online ordering availability coincides with these time frames.
Q. What is your return policy?
A. We do not accept returns or issue refunds on food items. Upon receipt, if you discover any problem with your order, please inform us within 48 hours via our ‘Contact Us’ page.
Q. Why are your loaves round?
A. Round loaves are the traditional shape of monkey bread. They are also known to stay fresher longer. The round shape allows for a moister, more even bake, especially in our paper baking molds. Since we knead every loaf by hand, round loaves are perfect for creating the beautiful pull-apart look of monkey bread.
Q. What is the best way to warm the bread?
A. All appliances are different, so we can’t give you a precise time limit for warming your loaf, but here is a safe rule of thumb: when warming in a microwave, remove the bread from the poly bag (keep it in the paper baking mold) and cover the top with a paper towel. Warm for anywhere from 25 to 45 seconds. When warming in an oven, preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Remove the bread from the poly bag (keep it in the paper baking mold), cover the top with aluminum foil, and warm for 5 to 7 minutes.
